Grade 5 Farewell BBQ

Good morning,

Bria's mom Christine has organized a BBQ following next week's farewell. It will take place at Assiniboine Park from 3:30-7:30. It is up to parents to arrange for transportation. 

She has sent home a paper along with a map and her contact info. She is asking that parents RSVP to her by Monday. The cost will be around $5 a person. 

If your child has lost the sheet, please let me know and I will send another one home.

Cookies

Good afternoon. 

Today we had a chance to make cookies. The students made some changes to their recipe and were asked to identify the chemical reactions they observed. And of course they were able to eat them. 

A big thank you to Mme Perry, my friend Michelle, Lori Lewis (Kiara's mom), and Rose Borgford for all of your help. The students really enjoyed the experience.

Homework for the Week

Good morning,

I've handed out a reading text that the students are to read during the week entitled Jimmy Goes Home.  They are then to answer the questions in a full sentence.  It will be due on Friday.  If they finish early, they will not have any homework for the rest of the week.

Just a reminder that the students will also be presenting their poems this week.
